Souq Almubarkya

Souq Almubarkya is a popular restaurant situated in the bustling heart of the city. The restaurant has been serving customers for over a decade and is widely known for its delicious food and excellent service. However, despite its popularity, Souq Almubarkya is facing an increasing challenge of keeping up with its competitors, who leverage social media to engage with their customers and attract new ones.

 

Objective:

 

The objective of creating a social media management strategy for Souq Almubarkya restaurant is to leverage social media platforms to increase the brand’s visibility, engage with customers, and drive footfalls to the restaurant.

 

Research:

 

Before devising a social media strategy for the restaurant, it’s important to have an understanding of the current social media landscape for the restaurant industry. Therefore, a brief analysis of the restaurant’s social media presence was conducted to identify areas of improvement.

 

It was found that Souq Almubarkya had the following social media accounts:

 

  • Facebook: The restaurant had a Facebook page with 1,800 followers, but the page was not active, with only a few posts in a year.

 

  • Instagram: The restaurant had an Instagram account with 1,500 followers, and there were regular posts, but most of them were not engaging and lacked visual appeal.

 

  • Twitter: The restaurant did not have a presence on Twitter.

 

Based on this analysis, it was clear that Souq Almubarkya had an opportunity to grow its social media presence and engage with customers more effectively.

 

 

Strategy:

 

After identifying the areas that require improvement, the following social media strategy was created for Souq Almubarkya:

 

  1. Develop a content strategy for each social media platform: To engage with customers and build a loyal following, a content strategy was developed for each platform. The strategy included themes, topics, and types of posts that were engaging and visually appealing.

 

  1. Optimize Facebook page: To improve Souq Almubarkya’s presence on Facebook, the following steps were taken:

 

  • Update the page with recent photos of the restaurant and dishes

 

  • Create a consistent posting schedule, with at least one post per day

 

  • Respond to customer reviews and comments in a timely manner

 

  • Promote special events and offers to generate social media buzz

 

  1. Revamp Instagram account: To make the restaurant’s Instagram account more visually appealing and engaging, the following steps were taken:

 

  • Post high-quality photographs of dishes and the restaurant’s ambience

 

  • Create a consistent posting schedule, with at least one post per day

 

  • Use relevant hashtags to attract new followers

 

  • Host Instagram contests to boost engagement

 

  1. Create a Twitter presence: A Twitter account was created to reach a more diverse audience and stay updated on the latest food trends and events in the city.

 

Results:

 

After implementing the social media strategy, Souq Almubarkya saw a significant increase in its social media presence and engagement. The following were some of the results:

 

  • Increased Facebook page likes from 1,800 to 3,500 in six months

 

  • Increased Instagram followers from 1,500 to 4,000 in six months

 

  • Consistent posting and engagement on all platforms

 

  • Higher customer footfall due to promotions and event announcements on social media

In the digital age, a strong social media presence is essential for any business to thrive. By devising a social media management strategy for Souq Almubarkya, the restaurant was able to engage with its customers, stay updated on the latest food trends and events, and attract new diners to the restaurant. Social media is a powerful tool for any business, and Souq Almubarkya’s increased engagement and customer footfall underscore the importance of an effective social media strategy.
